Sell with Us

At the Pirate and Bluebelle we are always keen to hear from exciting new artists and makers.

If you create something that you think would fit with our brand, here’s what to do:

Send us an email with the following info –

  • Your name (and business name if different)
  • What you create and the medium used
  • Prices of your products
  • Tell us if you sell your work anywhere else.
  • Links to your website, social media feeds or some photographs for us to have a look at.

If we have an opening for your type of work we will send you our artist agreement detailing our
terms and conditions and we will work together to get your pieces in our wee shop as soon as

We look forward to hearing from you.

Please Note: We respectfully ask that you do not bring work to the gallery to  show us without an appointment/email. We are a busy working gallery and gift shop and often can not give your work careful consideration in this situation.

Testimonials from Artists Already Selling with Us

You are the loveliest retailer to supply work to. You completely get what I make, and you completely understand when your order is going to be late because my dog has pulled me over and I have scraped hands and knees, or I haven’t answered your email because I’m hiding under the duvet in a panic, or I’ve forgotten to order something vital like boxes to put my brooches in. It’s a joy to send my work to someone who appreciates and understands what hand-made really means.

Pewter and Driftwood Artist

Heather and Nick have created a unique independent  shop in The Pirate and Bluebelle. As well as promoting the work of local artists and makers, they also celebrate the landscape surrounding them and use it as a key feature in both the aesthetic of the shop and in the photographic work that is featured. They have garnered a following within the local community, as well as visitors to Gourock, all built through their own appreciation and celebration of the area.

I’m a big fan of their inclusive approach, by involving local artists (including creatives who live in Gourock) and their support of community initiatives and organisations such as Newark Enterprises.

The experience in shop is always very relaxed and welcoming, which has again, helped to build their reputation and place within the community, and position themselves as an integral part of the creative scene with an inclusive approach.

The Grey Earl

I have been selling my artwork through the Pirate and Bluebelle for the past 4 years and have found this to be a fantastic experience.

Both Heather and Nick have great knowledge of the local market and their support and feedback has been invaluable to me in developing my work in a more commercial way.

They are always looking for new ways to promote artist’s work and their beautiful gallery provides the perfect place for me to display my local prints and watercolours.
Heather and Nick are always encouraging and enthusiastic and I have definitely benefitted from their expertise.
